On the 15th of September we had a 'Sports day' in our school. To help organizing the Sports Day the IB diploma student were devided into 4 different houses, named after famous russian writers: Pushkin, Chekhov, Gogol and Tolstoy. Each house had a captain and wise captain, and their responsibility was to make team for each sport from each grade, and additionally thy had to present a mascot of the house and to decide a celebration song.
We had different sport activities, they are: football, basketball, dodgeball,volleyball, tomeball, sprint running and 1 km run. Personally, as I was a wise captain of my house, so I wished to encourage youger students to be more active and participative, thus I have taken part in each of the activity, working collaboratively with my team. Me and the captain we were solving such problems like structuring the teams for different sports, considering everyone's skills and making the beneficial sport strategies. I can assume that I have learned new skills like playing dodgeball and tomeball and that I have developed the old ones which are running, playing basketball and football.
We were the second out of four and I think that it is a good start for our house, Pushkin.
